Everyone should watch this awesome cosplay video!
Look, it’s gotta be said.
Community isn’t really that funny anymore.
This saddens me after The Guild ended and I’m still feeling the hurt that 30 Rock is over.
But I miss Dan Harmon.
I miss the old characters, going just that extra step further … something they seem to be missing.
Even with some bang up guest stars this season and an Inspector Timespace episode.
I still watch it.
I still DVR it, but I delete it when it’s done.
No longer does it sit on my list, waiting to be watched, rewatched, laughed at, new things noticed….
I have however picked up Gravity Falls on a regular rotation. (you really DO notice lots of new things on a rewatch)
and New Girl has had some really good ones lately.
In the meantime, it might be time to pour a 40 for Community.
So blogging from a much different area, much different part of the country. There are a lot of dirt roads, camo hats and trucks about. No more just stopping by the store on the way home to pick something up. No waking up in the morning and heading out to grab a cup of coffee and a bagel. It’s quite surreal.
Anyway, I’m hoping that all had a good holiday season and did all the things they wanted to… Partied too hard, stayed in and relaxed, ate way too much awesome food, drank too much stuff that tasted great….
Like I mentioned earlier, during this time, I was kicking off the time with a move. Oh… If only I had more time, because I ended up having to have people come in and help pack up the boxes. The important books were all loving packed away and marked clearly. Some of the other stuff, well, not so much.
In fact, I think the comment made (more than once) was, there are too many books and too many shoes.
Um…. excuse me while I spam pictures of both these beautiful things:
Of course, now I’m finding myself having to organize (AGAIN!) these beautiful things. *sigh* But at least I know where they are. The utensils on the other hand are still missing as is my Inniskillen wine key. While this made me sad, I lasted a two full days before being forced to go out and buy a new wine key.
So while I’m still digging through my many, many boxes
While I am still learning all the crevices of my new home
While I am am catching up with technology
While Classic Who is in the background
While waiting for Warm Bodies to come out in theaters
While waiting to make new friends
I am keeping my books nearby.
And I will leave you with a Twilight Fanfic called Dirt Roads by winehoes. It is a hilarious story about people living in the middle of nowhere being much more successful than I have been. Maybe I’m visiting all the wrong gas stations.
This is a wonderful cosplay video that anyone who likes to go to conventions, watch cosplayers or love to dress up to definitely take a look at and support!
I think that all the cosplayers did a fantastic job on their costumes!

Prequels bore me.

It was WAY better than the prequels. That being said I loved the prequels. But holy shit. Joss Whedon is so brilliant. This made cabin in the woods look “ok”. It was SO good.

Please forgive me for being cautious.

LMAOOOO that was different. I really liked those movies. They were entertaining.
THIS IS JOSS WHEDON. Michael Bay needs to take notes.
And again, I didn’t say those were the best movies I have ever seen.
It’s okay. I understand. But if you don’t see this on big screen you are doing yourself a giant disservice. 🙂

I didn’t love star trek.
I trusted you with cabin in the woods.
I got burned by the Matrix and never got it back
I loved it… until the last 10 minutes
And I remember being super annoyed and thinking I had wasted my money
Not that it wasn’t good, but it wasn’t “movie theatre” good
Just… rental good

Did I recommend the Matrix? God I’m sorry. I hate the Matrix lol
All Marvel and Whedon fans need to see it.
And… BAMFS. widow and one of the shield agents.

Sent: Monday, May 07, 2012 8:52 AM
your answer better be yes and I know you loved it
Kids, back in 2012, your aunt Robin wanted to do something more with her life. So she took her love of guns to an organization called S.H.I.E.L.D and fought alongside the Avengers.
Now, your Uncle Barney and I took it pretty hard; she was getting to spend a lot of time with another billionaire playboy, this guy named Tony Stark. Your Uncle Barney almost went crazy when he found out the guy had a metal suit.
“It shoots fireballs, Ted! He looks like a freakin’ storm trooper!”
Then your uncle Barney decided to fight back.
And Lily showed up and was like, “I’m in a Joss Whedon thing too.”

I FRICKIN LOVED IT!!!!

Ok, which parts?? I LOVED the additional scenes! I loved Seneca Crane. The riot in eleven, that choked me up more than Rue, probably because I didn’t expect it.
Sent: Wednesday, March 28, 2012 10:43 AM
So, I cried at the Reaping, I cried saying bye to Prim. I cried when Rue died, I cried with riot in 11… I cried. A lot. I pretty much left that theatre looking like I was in a fight, hair was all messed up because my ass kept falling asleep so I would have to move and adjust, black lines down my face from makeup. HOT MESS.
I love how they showed the control room in the Capitol. I think they did a good job with the mutts (I was worried about that). I have a question was the part of Peeta throwing the big metal ball in the book? I didn’t remember that at all.
PS Even though I am warming up to Peeta, I am still Team Gale.
Sent: Wednesday, March 28, 2012 10:46 AM
Pshhh how could you not be team gale?
I expected to cry more and did not. Maybe because I was bracing myself for it.
I loved seeing the control room.

Yea… people didn’t actually READ and ASSUMED that she looked like Prim because she reminded Katniss of her sister.
Remind and LOOK LIKE read differently, they also do not mean the same things.
But you know what they say about assuming…

Sent: Wednesday, March 28, 2012 10:56 AM
Well I guess that’s how the saying went.
She never talks about races so it’s all inferred, but that far into the future, I’m sure people have other things to worry about. Plus, if you’re district is cut off from other districts, much less the rest of the world… what’s your field of reference?
After reading the books a few times, I wondered if Betee and Wiress had Asian blood by the way they were described though.

“Finnick is incredibly handsome. Really, he’s practically a joke of physical perfection — in Catching Fire, Collins describes him as a muscular, tan, bronze-haired dude with sea green eyes. So he’s either a merman or an Australian. But unlike Australians, Finnick’s beauty masks a bleak inner life: After winning his Hunger Games, he makes a life for himself as a high-class prostitute in the Capitol. It’s a tricky doucheboat-with-a-heart-of-gold role, requiring an actor who can be threatening, but also melancholy, but who can also pull off Finnick’s Caligula-worthy “Golden Net” outfit, which seems destined to test Catching Fire‘s PG-13 rating more than any kid-killing montage.
In Catching Fire, Finnick is about 24. But since the teenage Katniss and Peeta are played by Jennifer Lawrence (21) and Josh Hutcherson (19), it seems likely that Lionsgate would be willing to stretch the age range into the late ’20s or early ’30s. It seems to me that there’s one actor in Hollywood that’d be perfect for the role…but unfortunately, Chris Hemsworth happens to be the older brother of Liam, and it’s a well-known fact that the space-time continuum will implode if two Hemsworths appear in the same movie together.”

There’s a campaign for Armie Hammer, the prince from Mirror Mirror.
Sent: Friday, March 30, 2012 1:58 PM
Meh. He also looks too nice. Finnick, to me has an asshole hottie face. lol Not a pretty face, if that makes sense.
Sent: Friday, March 30, 2012 1:59 PM
Wasn’t he an ass in the social network?
Sent: Friday, March 30, 2012 2:11 PM
Yeah, I didn’t see that. Maybe he plays a good asshole?
You know who was meant for Finnick, but acted 20 years too early? William Zabka. Aka Johnny from Karate kid… although maybe he’s not pretty enough…

Or this guy back when:
But, I think it won’t matter?
It will be an Rpattz thing all over again, a Jhutcherson and Jlawrence thing
Everything will think they are all wrong for the part.
And after professional grooming, tanning and colored contacts and a personal trainer everyone will drool over him and say he was only the perfect choice…
But as long as he CAN ACT, I think most people will be happy.
The rest is all trickery.

Would it be long enough? Do you want to write up something really long about the movie?
I think I wrote a really long one a while ago about the books themselves?
It was just going to be an aside how there were parts of the books I cried at more than the movie and different parts of the movie affected me.
Sent: Tuesday, April 03, 2012 9:45 AM
I think it could be long enough, especially if you add pictures? You can also add the fan videos. The Rue and Katniss one from Mainstay Productions made me cry more than the movie.
